Summer Programme 2005 24th July until 3rd September 2005Islington Boat Club is a water-based youth club for 9 to 18 year olds who can swim a minimum of 25 metres to come along and take part in water-based activities. All activities are run and supervised by qualified staff. Cost is £2 per day or £20 for the whole of the six weeks holiday. Full membership for a year is £45. Concessions for families on income support. We are open seven days a week from 11am to 4pm (except Bank Holidays). Lunch is from 1pm to 2pm, when activities stop but the Club remains open. We have a small canteen on site for basic snacks and drinks. Summer Timetable
All of the above is flexible, it depends on what the members want to do on each day. We also do a lot more than two activities each day and this is only meant as a guide. Important information for all activities...Every member must have a completed membership form and it must be signed by a parent or guardian. Every member that fills out a form is entitled to one free admission to the Club. To download a membership form, please visit the Forms Section. There is a trips sheet for every single trip/course that we are doing. These will have all of the information on them and a parental consent form that must be signed by a parent or guardian. All activities that have a cost must be secured by paying a deposit or full payment. Summer Trips & Courses: Canoeing courses ~ 10 places on each course.Every week we will be running a One Star canoeing course, this is for people with little or no canoeing experience and is recommended for all new members. The cost is £10 per week long course and covers badge, certificate and entry to the Club for that week. Course Times: 11am to 1pm Course Dates:
Please note: One star assessment will be held on the Friday of each course R.Y.A. Power Boat level 1 course ~ 10 places on each course.Each course lasts eight days and there will be a total of three courses over the six weeks. The cost is £5 per course and covers the cost of badges and certificates and entry to the Club for the duration of the course. This course will give you a Powerboat qualification. Please note that the assessments for level 1 power boat courses are held on Thursday 1st or Friday 2nd of September. If you cannot make either of these dates we will arrange one that suites you.
